Step 1: Read about our Homestay Program
Thoroughly read and review all the information provided in our website to ensure the Homestay Program is right for you. Make a decision as to which of the three homestay options is the most suitable for you and your preferred commencement date.
Step 2: Complete the Homestay Application Form
Download the Homestay Application Form or complete this form online. Fill in the application carefully and thoroughly as an incomplete form will not be processed and will delay your placement.
Step 3:
Read the Payment Information, Cancellation Policy and Homestay Agreement
and make sure that you understand and accept the Payment Information, Cancellation Policy, and Homestay Agreement.
Step 4:
Fully complete the Homestay Application Form including the signed Declaration at the end of the form, sign acceptance of the Payment Information, Cancellation Policy, and Homestay Agreement.( I do not understand this statement…..) You may choose to submit all required documents listed below, either by post or in person at our Linguatutor office.

Step 5:
The matching process: You must allow at least 4 weeks for us to find you a suitable host family. Once a suitable host family match has been made, Linguatutor will inform you via email or telephone. A profile of your prospective host family will be sent to you via email. We will contact you to confirm if you are satisfied and wish to proceed with the host family.
Linguatutor makes every effort to be fair and equitable to both the applicant and host families. Applicants are required to read and agree to the Payment Information and Cancellation Policy before participating in the Linguatutor Homestay Program. Please read carefully, to ensure that you are willing and able to fully participate in our Program.
The Deposit and Placement Fee for the Homestay Program varies with the duration standards. The Placement fee for every month is 500RMB. The deposit of 500RMB is required to be paid in full when you submit your fully completed Homestay Application Form
Applications will not be processed until the Deposit is paid, all required documents have been received by our office and you have participated in an interview with one of our Accommodation Advisors. The Placement Fee must be fully paid upon acceptance of a Host Family placement and paid before the confirmed move-in date.
A cancellation of your application for a Homestay placement must be made in writing . If the written cancellation request is received before arranging meetings with host families, Linguatutor will refund the Deposit Fee minus a Cancellation Fee of 100RMB. If you canceled after you sign a contract with the host family before move-in date, the Deposit of 500RMB is strictly non-refundable. If the applicant is not satisfied with a host family within the first month of stay with a valid reason, the applicant will be refunded the rest monthly placement fee or placed with another family at no additional charge. In case of postponement of placement due to illness or delays in processing of your visa, the Placement Fee is valid for six (6) months. Payment is made by cash. Cash payments must be made in person at our Linguatutor office. All fees charged by Linguatutor are subject to change without prior notification.
